CITY OF WILLARD BOARD OF ALDERMEN July 27, 2009 7:00 P.M. Financial Report Financial Statements: Motion made by Aldermen Amodeo with second by Aldermen Johnson to pay the outstanding bills. Kenny Singer Construction Final Payment: Motion made by Aldermen Johnson with second by Aldermen Vincent to approve the final payment in the amount of $23,328.85 for the interconnect/chlorination project.Aldermen Johnson-I; Aldermen Hood-I; Aldermen Amodeo-I; Aldermen Vincent-I. Hunter-Chase Sidewalk Final Payment: Motion made by Alderman Amodeo with second by Aldermen Hood to approve the final payment in the amount of $18,026.18 for the Miller Rd sidewalk project. Motion carried. 2009 Budget Amendment: Karen Robson explained to the Board that twice a year she does a budget amendment. This shows what was budgeted for the year and where we actually are with spending and revenues. Cox Childcare Contract: Kevin McDonald explained to the Board that the City Clerk and he had been working with the management at Cox Fitness Centers to develop a childcare program for members of Cox fitness center, Willard as well as parents of children playing in team leagues at the recreation center. Cox has agreed to contribute 50% of costs, up to $10,000 a year to help the program run. Motion made by Alderman Johnson with second by Aldermen Vincent to approve the Mayor signing the contract. Kelly Miller Circus Contract: Kevin spoke to the Board about the circus coming to Willard in October. He stated that Randy Brown and he had met with Lee McLean regarding having the circus on Mr. McLean’s property next to Murfins Market. Kevin also stated that the Jackson St Park was an option, but that although the circus employees would clean up their mess there would likely still be some wear and tear on the grass. The Mayor stated that he would like to have the circus at the Jackson Street Park so that people would come through town. Aldermen Johnson agreed and added that he thought that the wear and tear in October would not be too bad on the grass. PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE SECTIONS 500.390, 500.400, 500.410, 500.420 AND 500.430 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF WILLARD PERTAINING TO ADOPTION OF PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE.
