Agenda Item Wording: Mural Curation Services Recommendation
Background Information:
The City of Williamsburg issued an RFQ for Mural Curation Services for the wall alongside Marshall’s
(facing Monticello Avenue). The RFQ closed November 2 and there were two submissions. The WPAC
must review and discuss the proposals to determine a recommendation for City Council. Because the
expense is higher than the threshold (10% of the annual allocation), it must go to City Council for final
approval.
The recommendation would be presented to City Council for approval at its December business meeting.
Previous Action:
None
Staff Recommendation:
Staff recommends that the WPAC approve a recommended company for mural curation services to present
to City Council for final approval.
Sample Motion:
I move that the Williamsburg Public Art Council approve <INSERT COMPANY NAME> as the
recommended company for mural curation services in the amount of <INSERT AMOUNT> as outlined in
the proposal.
