City of Wilton Manors General Employee & Police Pension Board of Trustees Minutes Special Meeting – Election of Officer’s - October 2, 2014 I. Call To Order Chairperson Clanton called the special meeting of the Wilton Manors GE & Police Pension Board of Trustees to order at 5:35 p.m. II. Roll Call Barbara Bihus, Shawn Chadwick, Joshua Kroon & Chairperson Clanton. Richard Foss was absent. Others Present: Joan Wall and Bob Mays III. Comments from the Public None IV. Nomination of Chair Trustee Bihus made a motion for Brenda Clanton to remain as Chair, seconded by Trustee Chadwick. Motion closed. Vote: Ayes: Trustee’s Chadwick, Kroon, Bihus and Chairperson Clanton. Nayes: None. V, Nomination of Vice-Chair Chair Clanton made a motion to nominate Barbara Bihus as Vice-Chair, seconded by Trustee Chadwick. Motion closed. Vote: Ayes: Trustee’s Kroon & Chadwick, Chairperson Clanton and Trustee Bihus Nayes: None. VI. Nomination of Secretary Trustee Bihus made a motion to nominate Shawn Chadwick as Secretary, seconded by Chair Clanton. Motion closed. Vote: Ayes: Trustee Kroon & Bihus, Chairperson Clanton and Trustee Chadwick. Nayes: None. VII. Nomination of 5th Member Chair Clanton made a motion to nominate Richard Foss as 5th Member, seconded by Trustee Chadwick. Motion closed. Vote: Ayes: Trustee’s Bihus, Kroon, Chadwick and Chairperson Clanton. Nayes: None. Discussion of Pension Auditor Selection Chairperson Clanton said that we have been using Goldstein Schechter Koch as our Auditors for several years and it is good practice to change Auditors every few years. Therefore the Board agreed to do an Auditor search and decided to have a Committee look over the Auditor search information and bring it back to the Board. The Committee for this search will be Joan Wall, Bookkeeper, Trustee Kroon and Finance Director Bob Mays. IX. Adjournment Trustee Chadwick made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Trustee Bihus.
