Commission Meeting

March 20, 2024 A regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners was held on March 20, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the City Meeting Room. Present Commissioners John Clausen, Jim Schacher and President LeeAnn Domonoske-Kellar via speaker phone. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Clausen to approve the minutes from the March 6, 2024 meeting as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Clausen and seconded by Schacher to approve the agenda as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Clausen and seconded by Schacher to approve Linda Astreia with the Meals on Wheels Program request to use the Memorial Hall for $400 while renovations are being made at the Wilton Senior Center. All present voted aye, motion carried. Renovations are expected to take 30 days to complete. The Senior Center will also be serving lunch at the Memorial Hall during the renovations. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Clausen to approve Aces Taverns request for a liquor license transfer to the Memorial Hall for the Pheasants Forever Banquet on March 23, 2024. All present voted aye, motion carried. Spring Clean-Up Week was set for April 29th through May 6th. Motion made by Clausen and seconded by Schacher to approve paying the Refunding Improvement Bond of 2014 payment of $1065,675.00, Refunding Improvement Bond of 2013 payment of $58,470.00 and the Water and Sewer Bond of 2006 payment of $11,280.00. All present voted aye, motion carried. Discussion for the Memorial Hall rates was tabled until the April 3, 2024 meeting. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Clausen to pay bills as presented. Roll call vote. Aye: Comm. Clausen, Schacher and Pres. Domonoske-Kellar. Absent: Comm. Kary and Hedstrom. Motion carried. With no other items for discussion, Pres.
