Unable to vote on prior notes due to only one person from the prior meeting in attendance today.

l Hybrid meetings are much more possible moving forward, and day of the week may be
able to be changed based on group availability.

VI. FY24 Work Plan Discussion
l Would like more info on O’Brien Community Center plan before MIC can provide
consult on plan.
l What are community requirements for walking/biking in Winooski? We can send out
link to survey to gauge community needs. Survey still open! Survey link:

l Dallas questions the ability to add needle deposit boxes on municipal property for areas
in Winooski to improve public safety. Probably a Safe, Healthy, Connected People topic.
l Dallas suggests adding bike racks near bus stops or parking garages. Committee
discussed. Perhaps bring to Inclusion and Belonging Group for placement help?
l Can we provide more incentives to adults for biking? To either alleviate cost of bike or to
bike-plan/

VII. Council Liaison Updates

l Juneteenth is being recognized with a ceremony on Sunday afternoon in The Circle.
l Pride event success from last year being brought back this year.
VIII. Staff Liaison Updates

l Abenaki Parking Garage tentatively starting construction in August.
l Environmental Notice Bulletin (ENB) can alert users about various permits and
upcoming construction projects. Currently ONLY place to register public
comment/appeal.

l MIC will not meet in July as we attempt to fill seats and await more agenda items. Plan
for third Thursday of August at 6:30, hybrid meeting.
