Notes: Request for Beer and Wine On Premises
Owners-Operators on DParmas (Hector and his daughter, Jolene,
present) Two other, full-liquor, licenses in East Boston and Revere.
Applicants collectively have multiple decades of experience in
liquor serving establishments. TIP certified. Jolene involved with
the opening of East Boston and worked there for past ten years.
Winthrop location will be her first position as named Manager.
Commissioner Vecchia is sad to see the BYOB go, but wishes
them well. ‘Known for many years…you’ve done a tremendous
job.’ Commissioner Ackerman stated that they are a great
restaurant in the community. Lt. Roger of WPD stated that they are
an excellent restaurant. Betsey Shane of the Winthrop Chamber of
Commerce, community members and chamber members for ten
years. “Great members of the community…this is good for the
community.” Attorney Cipoletta confirmed that all green cards to
abutters were returned and will be filed with Denise.
Approval: Motion approved unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS
Betsey Shane expressed that Joe Clark’s was a vital members of community and will be
missed. “Joe Clark has been here since the beginning of this Commission. It is worth
us acknowledging the work that he has done…Done a great job for 25 or 30 years…a
backbone and historian for all for us.”
