(d/b/a “Thai Taki Restaurant”) Discussion: Owner and Manager both present, as well as Chamber of Commerce President Besty Shane (in support of both applications being presented tonight). Thai Taki currently operating restaurant under common vic; now applying for liquor license. Hours requested are consistent with other similar businesses in the area. Action: Liquor license approved by unanimously by the BOL. Drop Zone Brewery, LLC-Brewery License Discussion: Name stems from the owner being a former paratrooper. All malt beverages will be made and sold in-house. Operations and production will be done in accordance with the Master Brewers Association. Anticipated production volume will be ~200 barrels/year. Products will be named after streets and locations in Winthrop. $2 for every flight will be donated to veterans services. Looking to open 6-8 weeks from now. Model they are following is Bone Up Brewery in Everett. Will also serve baked good foods (paninis, flatbreads, etc.) Hours: M-T will be brewing days (not open), Wed-Sun taproom hours consistent with nearby restaurants (planning for 12N – 11P). 1,600 of the 2,500 sq ft of the space will be for brewery operations, the remaining for tap room. Max capacity 50 people. No interest in wholesale or distribution at this point. Air filtration system being installed to support clean air inside and out. Beer can be ordered to-go for offsite consumption (growlers, can etc.). Will come back for a common vic license for the food in the coming weeks. Action: Liquor license approved unanimously by the BOL.
