TOWN OF WINTHROP BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS Town Hall, 1 Metcalf Square, Winthrop, MA 02152 Telephone: 617-846-1742 MONDAY MARCH 14, 2022 – MEETING MINUTES Meeting called to order by Kurt at 6:02 PM ROLL CALL  Kurt, Mark, John present (quorum)  Sam and Ron not present MEETING MINUTES - None to Approve OLD Business – NONE PUBLIC HEARING(S): Review and Sign Application for Brown Bag (BYOB) License – Katie’s Kitchen Too Discussion: Katie specifically seeking BYOB to provide a different restaurant experience and continue Winthrop’s BYOB tradition. Katie will submit the paperwork following the meeting, apologizing she rushed over to the meeting thinking it started at 7. Action: Approved and signed, pending Katie submitting full paperwork to Denise. NEW BUSINESS GoGo on the Ocean – LLC Transfer Discussion: New owners Taylor Weaver and Anna Zaroda, accompanied by their attorney Jim. Taylor is an attorney and will serve as entrepreneurial advisor. Anna is the experienced restauranteur in the partnership. Planned hours: 4 days a week. 8a-2p breakfast, 5p-10p for dinner. Action: Approved and signed by the BOL. Review and Sign Taxi Driver Applications – Send to WPD for Review Discussion: WPD Officer Jim Feeley here to counsel the BOL. Applications from:  John McDonald  James Tyrankowski  Robert Lagenblade  Paul Racca  Joe Galvin  George Jones All of the above reviewed and approved unanimously by the BOL.  Daniel Stimpson – Approved contingent upon 6 month review as recommended by Winthrop Deputy Chief of Police.  James Rivera – Approved pending payment of outstanding excise tax and parking ticket.
