Roll Call 6:05 PM 2. Update DPH Grant – Meredith Hurley (Winthrop Dept of Public Health)  12/07/21 Town Council approved Work Plan (Equitable Approaches to Public Safety)  The grant will provide for 80 hrs of clinicians overseen by Boston Medical Center and evaluated by a team from Boston University. 3. And Still We Rise  Very poor participation / poor marketing / genuine resistance  Commission dropped ball in assisting to craft program appropriate to Winthrop 4. WPS update – Anita Preble  DEI Committees looking to engage families  Commission again requested to view Website before re-launch 5. February is Black History Month  Any grant money available for educational programming? 6. Can meeting be expanded thru ZOOM? 7. Minutes from October: moved by John Morgan, seconded by Johnny Bentley; passed. 8. Green & Cooper Memorial  John Morgan reported that Town Council was informed of private venture to create a Tree Memorial with plaque honoring Ramona Cooper and David Green at Shirley & Cross Streets. Target of $20,000 with Go Fund Me; organized by Bob Carroll. 9. Invite new TC president to share his hopes for the Commission 10. 7:00 PM Adjourned Note: January Meeting cancelled due to conflict with swearing of new Town Council and some COVID cases amongst Commissioners.
