Box A * Withee, Wisconsin 54498 The Village of Withee Board met on January 10, 2022 in the Municipal Building Conference Room at 6:30 p.m. for the regular board meeting. ROLL CALL President Lindgren called the meeting to order. Roll call was answered by Trustees Lindgren, Shelton, Frankewicz, and Kalepp. Trustee G. Niemi was absent. Clerk Niemi recorded the minutes. Also, present were Cindy Cardinal and DPW Troy Hatlestad. MINUTES A Frankewicz/Kalepp motion to approve the minutes of the December 13, 2021 regular meeting minutes carried with all ayes. FINANCIAL STATEMENTS A Shelton/Frankewicz motion to approve the monthly financial statements for the General, Water, and Sewer Accounts carried with all ayes. PAYMENT OF BILLS A Frankewicz/Shelton motion to approve paying the General Account checks 35323 thru 35379, Water Account checks 7016 thru 7026, and Sewer Account checks 2496 thru 2499 carried with all ayes. PAYROLL REPORT The board reviewed the employee time cards and payroll report. COMMUNITY INPUT There was no community input. COMMITTEE REPORT No reports were given. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS DPW Hatlestad reported that the Owen-Withee Sewer Commission met on December 16, 2021 and approved a 9% increase to the sewer volume charge and a $1.20 per thousand gallons user fee. The City of Owen is operating at a deficit in their sewer department; therefore, plan to raise their rates. A Shelton/Frankewicz motion to increase the sewer volume fee 9% to a charge of $10.83 per thousand gallons and raise the user fee to $3.00 per thousand gallons effective February 1, 2022, contingent on the City of Owen passing the increases at their 1/11/2022 meeting, carried with all ayes. POLICE REPORT A Shelton/Kalepp motion to approve the bills paid 1/04/2022 carried with all ayes. Trustee Lindgren reported that the majority of the evidence room shelves are installed, sound tiles will be installed, paper and online complaint forms will be available, and drop boxes will be installed soon. There has been an increase in calls at the school. The police department has received the materials to outfit the second squad for the K-9 dog. GENERAL DEPARTMENT A Frankewicz/Kalepp motion to approve the list of tax check overpayments received so far this tax season to be paid back to the residents carried with all ayes. The board was presented with the information for the spring election in April. Trustees Shelton, Frankewicz, and Kalepp will be running for the three trustee positions. A Shelton/Kalepp motion to use the 2021 Parks and Recreation Grant to pay for updating the Clark County Outdoor Recreation Plan carried with all ayes. A Kalepp/Shelton motion to adjourn at 7:11 p.m. carried with all ayes.
