Box A * Withee, Wisconsin 54498 The Village of Withee Board met on April 10, 2023, in the Municipal Building, Conference Room at 6:30 p.m. for the regular board meeting. ROLL CALL President Pro Tem Frankewicz called the meeting to order. Roll call was answered by Trustees Shelton, Frankewicz, and Kalepp. President Lindgren and Trustee Gehrke were absent. Clerk Niemi recorded the minutes. Also, present were DPW Derek Schad, Police Chief Patrick Fehlman, and Cindy Cardinal. MINUTES A Kalepp/Shelton motion to approve the minutes of the March 13, 2023 regular meeting carried with all ayes. FINANCIAL STATEMENTS A Shelton/Kalepp motion to approve the monthly financial statements for the General, Water, and Sewer Accounts carried with all ayes. PAYMENT OF BILLS A Kalepp/Shelton motion to approve paying the General Account checks 36090 thru 36147, Water Account checks 7202 thru 7215, and Sewer Account checks 2544 thru 2547 carried with all ayes. PAYROLL REPORT The board reviewed the employee time cards and payroll report. COMMUNITY INPUT There was no community input. COMMITTEE REPORT There were no committee reports. POLICE REPORT The quarterly police report was reviewed. Chief Fehlman reported on a vehicle stolen in Withee was recovered in Tomah, the school had many vaping calls, and K-9 Jimmi did sniff tests at the Thorp school and O-W schools of which drugs were found in a vehicle. He also reported on an officer impersonation case that is being concluded. A Shelton/Kalepp motion to approve the police bills from 3/09/2023 to 4/05/2023 carried with all ayes. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS DPW Schad reported that the 2022 CCR was completed, 10 lead and copper sites were approved by DNR, and most of the passwords have been changed. Hydrants will be flushed the week of April 17th-21st. The water plant flooded and kicked out the high service pump which SCADA didn’t notify due to the phone line being down. The blower motor must be replaced. The sewer main was repaired on Eastwood yet waiting for Visu-sewer to televise. The road is closed where the sewer repairs were made. Laabs has been doing maintenance on the equipment. Schad is going to get a quote to move the wing on the endloader and is looking at options for sidewalk snow removal for next year. Restoration needs to be done on shoulders from plowing and brush pickup resumes. GENERAL DEPARTMENT The board was informed that Everett Lindgren was reelected as Village President and Gary Gehrke was reelected as Village Trustee at the April 4th election. A Kalepp/Shelton motion to adjourn at 7:02 p.m. carried with all ayes.
