City Council - Workshop Meetings

Minutes Woodbury City Council Workshop Wednesday, February 12, 2025 Pursuant to the due call and notice thereof, a workshop meeting was duly held virtually and at the Woodbury City Hall, 8301 Valley Creek Road, on the 12th day of February 2025. Present: Mayor Anne Burt, Councilmembers: Kim Wilson, Jennifer Santini, and Donna Stafford. Councilmember Morris attended virtually and joined the meeting at approximately 5:55 p.m. Absent: None. Others Present: Clinton Gridley, City Administrator (absent for first agenda item); Angela Gorall, Deputy City Administrator; Eric Searles, Assistant Community Development Director/City Planner; Kevin Sandstrom, City Attorney; and various other staff in-person and online. Mayor Anne Burt called the meeting to order at 5:33 p.m. Workshop Discussion Items 1A. City Administrator Recruitment and Selection Process Presentation and discussion by staff, David Unmacht, and Art Davis of Baker Tilly (attending virtually) with the City Council on the recruitment process final report from Unmacht, timeline, and next steps in the process. Council provided comments for staff consideration and inclusion in the final brochure development process being completed by Baker Tilly. 1B. Nuisance Abatement and Use of Public Property Presentation provided by staff and the City Attorney followed by Council discussion. No specific Council direction provided. Staff to provide further information on the agenda item at a future meeting based on initial Council discussion on nuisance issues to be addressed. Administrator Comments and updates No comments provided. Mayor and City Council Comments and Commission Liaison Updates Mayor Burt updated Council on recent materials as provided by the Metropolitan Council. Councilmember Wilson commented on Math and Science Academy parking issues which staff provided an update on.
