Scott Hill Park and Sports Complex Update • Gold Leaf Event will be held on October 22, 2022. A video has been completed using a drone to show how big the project is. Phase 1 work, shelter and maintenance building is up. Walking trail will be paved soon along with rocking the parking lot. Sandy Larson shared that they will be applying for another grant soon. C. Horseshoe Lake Park Update • New Skate Park Rolling Freedom Park sign installed, old one was stollen. D. Horseshoe Lake Water Testing – Water testing was completed by Aquatic Technex, LLC throughout the summer months with expected test results. Testing will be every other month during the winter months. E. Horseshoe Lake Tracking Log Page Page31ofof39 2 VI. NEW BUSINESS Goerig Park • Crushed Asphalts for Parking Lot – looking into getting donated crushed asphalt for the parking lot. Horseshoe Lake New Items • Gazebo Roof Scheduled Mid November • Memorial Bench “Carter’s Buddy Bench” – The buddy bench will be on a tree stump near the playground area. • Tree Trimming - Completed • Beach Nourishment Sand – Has not been completed. • Irrigation Installed in Field – The irrigation will be installed this winter. • Porta Potties – The committee discussed what the cost would be if we were to add 2 more porta potties in the parks during the summer months. About 6,000 eggs are then thrown out all over the field to be collected by all the kids that are there. If they find the special eggs, they are then awarded prizes.
