Call to Order: 5:02 P.M.
Roll Call: Present: Melissa Cardinale (Town Liaison), Thomas Johnson (Co-Chair), Corinne Ruokangas, Suzie Larwood,
Lisa Keith, Lisa Carr, Elizabeth Fergason, Kit Colman (Co-Chair), Terri Butler (Minutes), Bev Iverson, Vicki Coe
Mitchell and Vanessa Nell
Not Present: Hank Upton, Marcela Del Alcazar, Brandon Vorrath
Quorum: Met
Public Communications: None
Approve Minutes: April 13, 2023 - Approved with amendments
Old Business:
1. Review May Event - Steve Gil was amazing as well as Jen Mitchell. The musical entertainment was
appreciated with interesting questions from the audience. Program proceeded smoothly. A reminder to view
the YouTube videos and rate with a thumbs up.
New Business:
1. Sign Up for June Event - Passed to Committee members
2. Review calendar - Committee discussed programs for next year - calendar reviewed with many new ideas.
One idea is to find a speaker who can make a presentation about Sam MacDonald. Terri to follow up.
3. Discussion for possible town training committee members about AV system - Town to provide training on the
AV system on June 15 at 4:00 P.M. Elizabeth, Terri, Vicki and Lisa volunteered for the training.
4. Reminder for Town’s June 6th Engagement Fair - Bev will be updating the binder of previous First Friday
event fliers for the public’s viewing. Hoping for a large turnout so that the community can be surveyed on
what programs they would like Arts and Culture to provide and to recruit new members to the committee.
5. Jessica the current event videographer is also a graphics artist and will be assuming the design of the art work
for the monthly program posters and postcards from Kit who has tirelessly produced beautiful designs the past
nine years! Thank you Kit!!
6. Next year will be the Committee’s 10 year anniversary - hurrah!
7. Vanessa is producing name tag badges for new members. (Brandon, Hank, Marcela and Lisa Carr)
8. Lisa Keith will contact Buck’s to determine the possibility of placing program cards at their tables.
