Town of Woodside 2955 Woodside Road Woodside, CA 94062 Woodside Livestock and Equestrian Heritage Committee March 22, 2023 5:30 pm Via Zoom or In Person at Independence Hall – 2955 Woodside Road Final Minutes Call to Order: 5:43 PM Roll Call: (Five members in attendance required for a quorum) Members Present: Melinda Stoker, Kristina Chancholo, Fentress Hall, Lexi Bartlo, John Matheny, and Nancy Atkinson Members Absent: Susie Dorsey, Diane Garcia Guests: Melissa Cardinale and Dick Brown Public Communications: Persons wishing to address the Committee on any appropriate subjects are invited to do so. Please note, however, that the Committee is not able to undertake extended discussion or to act on non-agenda items. Such items can be referred to staff for appropriate action, which may include placement on a future agenda. As a courtesy to others, the communications should be kept to a three-minute limit. Approval of Minutes: from February 22, 2023. Fentress Hall approved the minutes and John Matheny 2nd with recognizing the change of the LEHC roster. Barbara Calbert and Kelly Zeytoonian are no longer members. Old Business: 1. Safety Projects – Discussion of or updates on existing projects concerning environment (flood, fire), wildlife, town operations a. Confirm process for urgent attention to parking on trails. Fentress Hall asked about parking on the trails whether the Town has a consistent protocol they follow when this happens by construction workers, bicyclists etc. She informed the committee that in the past the Town would put print out notes on vehicles in violation from parking on equestrian/pedestrian trails. Is it ever appropriate to contact the sheriff to report parking on the town trails and if so, when? In the event that cars are parked on the equestrian/pedestrian trails Sean Rose said to call Town Hall and speak to whomever answers and they will relay the message to Sean and the maintenance crew. You may also inquire via the Town website, and it will get forwarded to Sean within 30 minutes or so. b. Establish subcommittee for Safety and Facilities. Since Kelly Zeytoonian is likely unable to make the in person LEHC meetings, the committee asked if they could  have an advisor for a subcommittee. Melissa Cardinale will look inti to. Fentress and John will be part of the Safety & Facilities Subcommittee. Fentress made a motion and Kristina 2nd. It unanimously passed. 2. Educational Projects – Discussion of or updates on existing projects related to public outreach such as signage, website, booklets, publications a. Establish subcommittee for Education and Public Outreach. Melinda and Kristina will be part of the Public Outreach Subcommittee. Fentress motioned and Nancy 2nd. It was unanimously passed. b. Discuss if further action by LEHC for Spring and Sprite on Town Hill. Melissa informed LEHC that The Woodside Landscape Committee washes and waxes Spring and Sprite. They are not an official Town committee but they’re a citizen advisory committee. New Business: 1. New member development. LEHC has 3 vacancies and is currently recruiting. Members will try to recommend at least one person who is a good fit. There is a Volunteer Engagement Committee gathering on June 6, 2023, from 4:30-6:00 PM outside Independence Hall. This might be a good event to do some recruiting.
