Call to Order: 5:33 pm
Roll Call: Kristina Chancholo, Fentress Hall, Phillip Bellamy, Fentress Hall, Lexi Bartlo,
Diane Garcia, Nancy Atkinson, Susie Dorsey, John Matheny
Absent: Melinda Stoker, Sharon Butler

Approval of Minutes from June 28, 2023. Approved by John Matheny & 2nd by Diane Garcia
Old Business:
1. Safety Projects – Continue discussion of or updates on existing issues and town operations
a. Further action to inform trail users on process for reporting improper parking.
How to communicate complex list of options to trail users.
b. Further action to inform improperly parked vehicles. Continued discussion of
temporary signage options. Both a and b- Melissa will invite Stacey from the
circulation committee. Melissa suggested that Sean meet with Fentress and
John before the September LEHC meeting to discuss and negotiate. This way
they can speak directly with Sean and work out things. Dick Brown said
TOW is updating their website and asked LEHC if there is anything we want
“searchable” now is the time to do it. There will be a better citizen
engagement portal. This will take place in 16-18 weeks.
2. Educational Projects – Discussion of or updates on existing projects related to public
outreach such as signage, website, booklets, publications
a. Revision of Booklet – Keeping Horses in Woodside. LEHC members each took
an area to revise and update. Kristina- Shelter, Exercise Areas- Fentress,
Fencing- Susie Dorsey, Managing the Environment- (fly control…) Melinda
and Sharon, Hay and Feed Storage- Nancy, Emergency Preparedness and
Onsite Security- Diane, Access Gates and Fire Safety- John, Trails- Fentress,
Bio Security and Healthcare- (new topic) Phillip
b. Community Event Calendar
c. Follow up tasks after Town of Woodside meeting of Manager and Mayor. Once a
year LEHC will do an annual report in the Woodsider. The community will
also have access to information and alerts via the TOW website. Here there
will be a “Resource” tab that states there are a group of service providers and
asking neighbors and community members is the best way to access them.
There will also be alerts for fire evacuation, construction on trails, nails and
safety issues relating to trails etc.
3. Review of Subcommittee projects:
a. Public Outreach. LEHC members will rotate being the liaison to the Trails
Committee every 2nd Thursday of the month. September- Susie, October-
John, November- Melinda, December- Diane
b. Safety and Facilities (now Safety and Health)
c. Stable permit reviews (if any) (now Stables)
New Business:
1. Article for Woodsider. Committee Spotlight. Discuss nails on the trails, fire
evacuation, the fiberglass horse, Keeping Horses in Woodside, Construction and
safety. Phillip and Melinda will review the article.

that the Committee is not able to undertake extended discussion or to act on non-agenda items. Such items can be
referred to staff for appropriate action, which may include placement on a future agenda. As a courtesy to others, the
communications should be kept to a three-minute limit.
