MINUTES WOODSTOCK CITY COUNCIL April 28, 2022 Special Meeting City Council Chambers A Special Meeting of the Woodstock City Council was called to order by Mayor Michael Turner at 7:30 PM on Thursday, April 28, 2022 in the Council Chambers at Woodstock City Hall. Notice of this meeting was appropriately posted and provided to all Council members and any media requesting it at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting as required. In accordance with the Governor’s disaster declaration, this was a hybrid meeting and Mayor Turner determined this meeting format was necessary. The Public was provided the opportunity to participate with information provided on how to do so in person or remotely. A roll call was taken. COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS: Darrin Flynn, Lisa Lohmeyer, Tom Nierman, Bob Seegers, Jr. and Mayor Michael Turner. Wendy Piersall joined the proceedings in the Council Chambers at 7:35 PM. COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT REMOTELY: Gordon Tebo joined the proceedings remotely at 7:35 PM. COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: None. STAFF PRESENT IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS: City Manager Roscoe Stelford, City Attorney Ruth Schlossberg, Deputy City Manager/Executive Director of Strategy & Planning Paul Christensen, Executive Director of Business Development Danielle Gulli and City Clerk Cindy Smiley. STAFF PRESENT REMOTELY: None. FLOOR DISCUSSION Public Comments There were no comments forthcoming from the Public. Council Comments There were no comments forthcoming from the City Council. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Turner stated the next item is an Executive Session for the purpose of discussing Real Estate – the setting of a price for sale or lease of property owned by the public body, specifically the Old Courthouse tenants, as allowed by Real Estate – Open Meetings Act: 5ILCS 120/2(c)(6). Woodstock City Council 04/28/22 Page 2 of 2 Motion by D. Flynn, second by L. Lohmeyer, to adjourn to Executive Session for the purpose of discussing: Real Estate (Open Meetings Act: 5ILCS 120/2(c)(6) The setting of a price for sale or lease of property owned by the public body as allowed by 5ILCS 120/2(c)(6). Old Courthouse Tenants A roll call vote was taken. Ayes: D. Flynn, L. Lohmeyer, T. Nierman, B. Seegers and Mayor M. Turner. Nays: none. Abstentions: none. Absentees: none. Motion carried. The Woodstock City Council adjourned to Executive Session at 7:34 PM. RETURN TO OPEN SESSION The City Council returned to Open Session at 9:10 PM. COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS: Darrin Flynn, Lisa Lohmeyer, Tom Nierman, Wendy Piersall, Bob Seegers and Mayor Michael Turner. COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT REMOTELY: None. COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: Gordon Tebo (Councilman Tebo left the remote connection and the proceedings at the conclusion of the Executive Session.) STAFF PRESENT IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS: City Manager Roscoe Stelford, City Attorney Ruth Schlossberg, Deputy City Manager/Executive Director for Strategy and Planning Paul Christensen, Executive Director for Business Development Danielle Gulli and City Clerk Cindy Smiley. ADJOURN Motion by D Flynn, second by L. Lohmeyer, to adjourn this Special Meeting of the Woodstock City Council to the next regular meeting on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers at Woodstock City Hall. A roll call vote was taken. Ayes: D. Flynn, L. Lohmeyer, T. Nierman, W. Piersall, B. Seegers and Mayor M. Turner. Nays: none. Abstentions: none. Absentees: G. Tebo. Motion carried.
