THE WOODWARD MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WOODWARD, WOODWARD COUNTY, OKLAHOMA, MET IN REGULAR SESSION IN THE COMMISSION CHAMBERS OF CITY HALL ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2018, AT 7:00 P.M. (As prescribed by law, meeting notice and agenda were filed with the Office of the City Clerk at 10:40 a.m., and posted at City Hall at 11:00 a.m. on October 11, 2018.) Chairman Meinders called the meeting to order, declaring a quorum present. PRESENT: John Meinders Chairman Roscoe Hill Trustee Steve Bogdahn Trustee John Brown Trustee Michelle Williamson Trustee Alan Riffel City Manager Catherine Coleman Secretary Aaron Sims City Attorney The Consent Docket was presented to the Authority for approval. Items on the Consent Docket were as follows: A. Approve minutes of the regular meeting of October 1, 2018. B. Approve Financial Reports for the month of September, 2018. Trustee Williamson made a motion, seconded by Trustee Hill, to approve the Consent Docket as presented. ROLL CALL AYES: Williamson, Hill, Meinders, Bogdahn, Brown NAYS: None The motion carried. Item three on the agenda was to receive report from Kyle Cortiana, P.E., of Meshek and Associates, regarding Cedar Avenue Stormwater Detention Facility. Mr. Cortiana explained that during the 25-year rainfall event that occurred, the detention pond performed as intended by slowing the water flow down 13th Street preventing flooding to homes and businesses. He showed maps demonstrating the impact of the rain both pre-construction and post-construction of the pond, which showed the area of town no longer subjected to flooding. City Manager Riffel enforced this by explaining that businesses downtown that normally would have flooded with that amount of rainfall had not reported any damage. Mr. Cortiana elaborated on plans for future flood control projects.
