THE WOODWARD MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WOODWARD, WOODWARD COUNTY, OKLAHOMA, MET IN REGULAR SESSION IN THE COMMISSION CHAMBERS OF CITY HALL ON MONDAY, MARCH 4, 2024, AT 7:00 P.M. (As prescribed by law, meeting notice and agenda were filed with the Office of the City Clerk at 10:30 a.m. and posted at City Hall at 10:40 a.m. on March 1, 2024.) Chairman Fisher called the meeting to order, declaring a quorum present. PRESENT: Tom Fisher Chairman Debbie Covalt Trustee John Brown Trustee John Meinders Trustee Hunter Wellman Trustee Shaun Barnett City Manager Michael Jones Assistant City Manager Mickie Parks Acting Secretary ABSENT: Aaron Sims City Attorney Andrea Murlin Secretary The Consent Docket was presented to the Authority for approval. Items on the Consent Docket were as follows: A. Approve minutes of the regular meeting of February 20, 2024. B. Approve Financial Reports for the month of January 2024. Trustee Meinders made a motion, seconded by Trustee Brown, to approve the Consent Docket as presented. ROLL CALL AYES: Meinders, Brown, Wellman, Fisher, Covalt NAYS: None The motion carried. Item three on the agenda was to consider and take action with respect to approval or disapproval of participation in “Trash Off Day” by allowing customers free landfill privileges on Saturday, April 20, 2024. City Manager Barnett stated this is the annual Spring event which encourages residents and businesses to clean up. The City will cover the costs of the landfill if the customer shows a copy of their utility bill showing they are a resident of the community. This continues to be a successful event, and a secondary date has been chosen in case of rain. Trustee Meinders moved to approve “Trash Off Day”. The motion was seconded by Trustee Wellman.
