Resident, Linda Tripp, stepped forward and stated that she is Linda Tripp, and her address is 217 E. Bass Avenue. She said that since the last meeting time that she did put down concrete blocks so that she can decide to do the extension on the side of the carport. She said that it would have a hard surface under it now. (She shows the board members a photo of the concrete blocks that had been added to the property). She then explained to the board members that the contractor, Dave Davis, said that it would end up being 19 or 18 and 1/2 feet wide. Ken Smith agreed with Ms. Tripp and said that if she went the whole 20 feet, that she would need something bigger than a 20-foot carport that she is asking for from the board. Ken Smith then asked Ms. Tripp if the contractor is setting the posts outside of the pavers? Linda Tripp confirmed that the contractor will be setting the posts right outside of the pavers and stated that that was her understanding as well. Chairman Horn asked if the board had any questions for Ms. Tripp? Ken Smith then made a comment that the only issue he had personally with this carport is the 20-foot by 20-foot width. He said that if the board approved it that way, that he just wanted to make sure that they would not be setting Ms. Tripp up to violate the city code. Chairman Horn asked if anyone else had any comments. Vice-Chairman Huston motioned to approve this item. Seconded by Ken Smith.
