They are speaking tonight on behalf of the Veterans. The Veterans wanted to thank the community and City staff for attending to the Veterans over the weekend. Bill Sandefer, 3909 Shandon Way, informed the council of his history of helping Veterans, Police, and underprivileged families. He expressed the problems he has been having with the OKC VA. On June 10 his car was hit at a red light, and he was very upset on how the Yukon police officer handled the situation. He believes the officer let the other party take a photo of his drivers license, and he had a fraud alert on his Amazon account the next day. Mr. Sandefer believes we need better enforcement throughout the city. Gary Ferkel, 3909 Shandon Way, confirmed the problems they are having with the OKC VA. He was also part of the accident with Mr. Sandefer. He gave the Police Officer his date of birth, and was advised it wasn’t correct. He agrees with Mr. Sandefer on the issues with the incident.
