Minutes THE TRAFFIC AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION THE TRAFFIC AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION MET IN REGULAR SESSION ON MARCH 10, 2020 AT THE CENTENNIAL BUILDING IN THE CITY COUNCIL CONFERENCE ROOM. THE MEETING WAS HELD AT 6:30 PM. INVOCATION: Tom Thomas FLAG SALUTE: In unison ROLL CALL: Fred Cleaver James Montgomery Tom Thomas Brad Downing Charlie Lee CITY OFFICIALS: Doug Shivers, City Clerk Jason Beal, Deputy City Clerk ITEM 1: DISCUSS AND APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE JANUARY 14, 2020 TRAFFIC COMMISSION MEETING. Motion for minutes to be approved with the corrections of the Northbound/Southbound speed limits incorrectly stated for the school zone at the high school on Yukon Parkway: Motion – Tom Thomas Second – Brad Downing The motion passed unanimously. ITEM 2: VISITORS - None Traffic Commission – March 10, 2020 Page 2 ITEM 3: DISCUSS TRAFFIC CONCERNS Mr. Lee stated the east/west bound light at Main and Yukon Parkway was stuck on. Discussion was held on the issues and types of traffic controllers. Mr. Shivers stated there may be a future request for a neighborhood sign to alert drivers to a disabled child. Mr. Lee stated the City of Edmond requires a doctor’s note to proceed with the sign. Mr. Downing, Mr. Cleaver, Mr. Montgomery and Mr. Thomas had no concerns.
