Minutes THE TRAFFIC AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION THE TRAFFIC AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION MET IN REGULAR SESSION ON NOVEMBER 9TH, 2021 AT THE CENTENNIAL BUILDING IN THE CITY COUNCIL CONFERENCE ROOM. THE MEETING WAS HELD AT 6:30 PM. ROLL CALL: James Montgomery Charlie Lee Tim Peters. Tom Thomas (Absent) Brad Downing (Absent) CITY OFFICIALS: Arnold Adams, Public Works Director Brittany Stinnett, Public Works ITEM 1: Discuss and approve the minutes: Regular Traffic Commission Meetings: August 10th 2021 September 14th 2021 October 12th 2021 Motion for minutes to be approved: Motion – James Montgomery Second – Charlie Lee The motion passed unanimously ITEM 2: VISITORS – Larry Bouttler ITEM3: Continued Discussion – Additional signage on both sides of Yukon Ave fro 9th St. to S Holly Ave. regarding no parking during school pick up and drop off times. James Montgomery – would like the school district to look in Traffic Commission – November 9th, 2021 Page 1  to the bus issue along the roadway. Possible solution would be to have the busses re-routed to Garth Brooks Blvd Charlie Lee – Not sure a sidewalk would work in this case Motion for to set up meeting about solutions for bus traffic re-routing buses to Garth Brooks would like Robbie to offer the invite: Motion – James Montgomery Second – Tim Peters The motion passed unanimously ITEM4: Discuss Signage and striping at Health Center Parkway/Professional Circle to indicate cross traffic does not stop. Visitor was unable to make it and would like this placed on the next agenda for discussion. Item5: Discuss possible solution to decongest traffic at Vandament and Yukon Parkway intersection. Request for a Designated left turn heading East on Vandament to head North on N Yukon Parkway. James M – Traffic study needs to take place Motion – Tim Peters - for traffic study to take place at this intersection for best possible outcome. Second – James Montgomery The motion passed unanimously Item5: Discuss traffic Concerns. Charlie Lee – Ranchwood and Main St light is locked on green Lakeview school has restriped in front of school at light.
