City of Yuma City Council Worksession Agenda Tuesday, June 6, 2017 6:00 PM Yuma City Hall Council Chambers One City Plaza, Yuma Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Resolution R2008-55 that one or more members of the Yuma City Council may participate in person or by telephonic, video or internet conferencing. Voting procedures will remain as required by the Yuma City Charter and other applicable laws. CALL TO ORDER I. STREETLIGHT REPLACEMENT PROJECT Matt Vaccaro, Senior Account Executive of Siemens Industry, Inc., will provide an update on the Streetlight Replacement Project, followed by questions and/or discussion by City Council. II. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT AND HOME PROGRAMS Rhonda Lee-James, Neighborhood Services Manager, will brief City Council on the current federal funding status for the Community Development Block Grant and HOME programs, as well as the changes made within these programs to accommodate the allotted budget, followed by questions and/or discussion by City Council. III. PARKS & RECREATION UPDATE Director of Parks & Recreation, Debbie Wendt, will provide an update on the Pacific Avenue Athletic Complex (PAAC), Desert Sun Stadium activities and The Patio at the Hills restaurant, followed by questions and/or discussion by City Council. IV. CITIZENS COMMITTEES Discussion between City Administrator and City Council regarding recommendations for a Citizens Budget Review Committee and implementation of a Revenue Committee. V. REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA OF JUNE 7, 2017 City Council discussion and/or questions to City staff on any Regular City Council Meeting agenda item. EXECUTIVE SESSION An Executive Session may be called during this public meeting for the purpose of receiving legal advice for items included on the June 7, 2017 Regular City Council Meeting, the June 6, 2017 Regular Worksession and the June 6, 2017 Citizen’s Forum agendas, pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.03 A (1, 3, 4 and/or 7) and the following items: A. Discussion, consultation with and/or instruction to legal counsel regarding the transfer agreement with the Housing Authority of the City of Yuma and the Rental Assistance Conversion Commitment with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. (A.R.S. 38-431.03 A3 & A4) B. Discussion, consultation with and/or instruction to legal counsel regarding the purchase of property located at 292 W. 13th Street and 1258 S. 2nd Avenue.
