City of Yuma City Council Worksession Agenda Tuesday, September 5, 2017 6:00 PM Yuma City Hall Council Chambers One City Plaza, Yuma Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Resolution R2008-55 that one or more members of the Yuma City Council may participate in person or by telephonic, video or internet conferencing. Voting procedures will remain as required by the Yuma City Charter and other applicable laws. CALL TO ORDER I. MARINE AVIATION WEAPONS AND TACTICS SQUADRON ONE (MAWTS-1) EXERCISE Briefing by: Marine Corps Air Station - Yuma Commanding Officer, Colonel David Suggs; MAWTS-1 Commanding Officer, Colonel James Wellons; and, MAWTS-1 Exercise Co- ordinator, Major Andrew Baxter, regarding an upcoming Weapons and Tactics Instructor exercise; followed by discussion and/or questions from the City Council. II. DESERT HILLS Debbie Wendt, Director of Parks & Recreation and Drew Smith, Golf Operations Manager, will present an update on the operations of the Desert Hills Golf Course and Desert Hills Par 3, including a strategic plan that will list new programs for increased revenue generation and a plan to reduce expenditures; followed by questions and/or discussion by City Council. III. REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA OF SEPTEMBER 6, 2017 City Council discussion and/or questions to City staff on any Regular City Council Meeting agenda item. IV. EXECUTIVE SESSION An Executive Session may be called during this public meeting for the purpose of receiving legal advice for items included on the September 6, 2017 Regular City Council Meeting, the September 5, 2017 Regular Worksession and the September 5, 2017 Citizen’s Forum agendas, pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.03 A (1, 3, 4 and/or 7) and the following items: A. Discussion, consultation with and/or instruction to legal counsel regarding a potential purchase and contract negotiations.
