Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Resolution R2015-047 that one or more members of the
Yuma City Council may participate in person or by telephonic, video or internet conferencing.
Voting procedures will remain as required by the Yuma City Charter and other applicable laws.
CALL TO ORDER
I. FIREWORKS UPDATE
Fire Chief, Steve Irr, and Fire Marshal, Kayla Franklin, will present the proposed updates
and potential options to the City's fireworks ordinance, followed by discussion and/or
questions from City Council.
II. DOG BARKING ORDINANCE UPDATE
Assistant City Prosecutor/Police Legal Advisor, Emily Hart, will present a brief overview of
the City’s current “Animals Disturbing the Peace” ordinance, as well as proposed changes
and possible modifications to the ordinance, followed by discussion and/or questions from
City Council.
III. REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA OF FEBRUARY 5, 2020
City Council discussion and/or questions to City staff on any Regular City Council Meeting
agenda item. (For a listing of agenda items, the Regular City Council meeting agenda is
posted adjacent to this worksession agenda and is available in the Office of the City Clerk
and on the City’s website at www.YumaAz.gov).
IV. EXECUTIVE SESSION
An Executive Session may be called during this public meeting for the purpose of receiving
legal advice for items included on the February 5, 2020 Regular City Council Meeting, the
February 4, 2020 Regular Worksession and the February 4, 2020 Citizen’s Forum agendas,
pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.03 A (1, 3, 4 and/or 7) and the following items:
A. Discussion, consultation with and/or instruction to legal counsel regarding potential
contract litigation. (A.R.S. 38-431.03 A3 & A4)

B. Discussion, consultation with and/or instruction to legal counsel regarding the Boys and
Girls Club and the City of Yuma v. Salvation Army. (A.R.S. 38-431.03 A3 & A4)
C. Discussion, consultation with and/or instruction to legal counsel regarding potential
litigation. (A.R.S. 38-431.03 A3 & A4)
D. Discussion, consultation with and/or instruction to legal counsel regarding Preannexation
Development Agreement for Trail Estates. (A.R.S. 38-431.03 A3 & A4)
