City of Yuma City Council Worksession Agenda Tuesday, May 14, 2024 5:30 PM Yuma City Hall Council Chambers One City Plaza, Yuma Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Resolution R2015-047 that one or more members of the Yuma City Council may participate in person or by telephonic, video or internet conferencing. Voting procedures will remain as required by the Yuma City Charter and other applicable laws. CALL TO ORDER I. YUMA BROWNFIELDS COALITION ASSESSMENT GRANT - "BROWNFIELDS TO INNOVATION DISTRICT" Gibran Becerra, CIP Project Manager, and the Yuma Brownfields Coalition team will present the results of the project and the recommendations for the community on the vision and possibilities for the Yuma Old Town South in terms of community, environmental and economic impact, followed by questions and/or discussion with City Council. II. FY 2025 BUDGET AND DISCUSSION Acting City Administrator, Jay Simonton and Finance Director, Douglas Allen, will provide information and updates for the Proposed FY 2025 Budget, Municipal Improvement Districts and other considerations and processes, including upcoming City Council schedule and actions, followed by questions and/or discussion with City Council. III. REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA OF MAY 15, 2024 City Council discussion and/or questions to City staff on any Regular City Council Meeting agenda item. (For a listing of agenda items, the Regular City Council meeting agenda is posted adjacent to this worksession agenda and is available in the Office of the City Clerk and on the City’s website at www.YumaAz.gov). EXECUTIVE SESSION An Executive Session may be called during this public meeting for the purpose of receiving legal advice for items included on the May 15, 2024, Regular City Council Meeting and the May 14, 2024 Regular Worksession agendas, pursuant to A.R.S. Discussion, consultation, and/or direction to legal counsel regarding different aspects of A.R.S. § 38-431 et seq. and state and federal constitutions. (A.R.S.38-431.03 A(3) and A(9)).
