City of Yuma City Council Worksession Agenda Tuesday, June 25, 2024 5:30 PM Yuma City Hall Council Chambers One City Plaza, Yuma Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Resolution R2015-047 that one or more members of the Yuma City Council may participate in person or by telephonic, video or internet conferencing. Voting procedures will remain as required by the Yuma City Charter and other applicable laws. CALL TO ORDER I. GREATER YUMA PORT AUTHORITY Buna George, Executive Director of the Greater Yuma Port Authority (GYPA), will provide an update of GYPAs activities, followed by questions and/or discussion with City Council. II. PARKS MASTER PLAN Eric Urfer, Director of Parks and Recreation, and consultant Steve Duh with Conservation Technix will present the proposed Parks, Arts, Recreation and Trails Master Plan for the City of Yuma, followed by questions and/or discussion with City Council. III. REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA OF JUNE 26, 2024. City Council discussion and/or questions to City staff on any Regular City Council Meeting agenda item. (For a listing of agenda items, the Regular City Council meeting agenda is posted adjacent to this worksession agenda and is available in the Office of the City Clerk and on the City’s website at www.YumaAz.gov). IV. EXECUTIVE SESSION An Executive Session may be called during this public meeting for the purpose of receiving legal advice for items included on the June 26, 2024, Regular City Council Meeting and the June 25, 2024, Regular Worksession agendas, pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.03 A (1, 3, 4 and/or 7) and the following items: A. Discussion, consultation, and/or direction to legal counsel regarding different aspects of A.R.S. § 38-431 et seq. and state and federal constitutions. (A.R.S. § 38-431.03 A(3) and A(9)). (A.R.S. § 38-431.03 A(3)). C. Discussion, consultation, and/or direction to legal counsel regarding Solario v. City of Yuma. (A.R.S. § 38-431.03 A(3) and A(4)). D. Discussion, consultation, and/or direction to legal counsel relating to claims stemming from Smucker Park Basin construction damage to City’s sanitary sewer system and sewage releases. (A.R.S. § 38-431.03 A(3) and A(4)).
