City of Yuma City Council Worksession Spc. Worksession/Council Retreat Agenda Monday, March 24, 2025 9:00 AM Cocopah Resort and Conference Center 15268 S. Avenue B, Somerton, AZ 85350 This Special Worksession/Retreat is an opportunity for the Mayor and City Council, City Administration and staff to identify and review goals and priorities for the City. Based on time limitations, it is possible that not all agenda items will be reviewed and discussed. No action or recordings will be taken at this Special Worksession/Retreat. Any items requiring further discussion, action or vote will be placed on a future City Council meeting agenda. Breaks will be taken as needed and lunch will be provided at noon each day. CALL TO ORDER 2025 CITY COUNCIL RETREAT DISCUSSION TOPICS: I. WELCOMING COMMENTS Welcoming comments by Mayor Nicholls and Acting City Administrator, Jay Simonton. II. COUNCIL DYNAMICS AND STRATEGIC CONVERSATIONS Discussion on best practices for City Council communication, operations, and policy administration. This session will also include strategic conversations to identify key priorities and long-term goals for 2025-2030. III. REVIEW AND UPDATE OF STRATEGIC PLAN Discussion and review of the existing strategic plan, including any recommended edits.
