Town of Zionsville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners meeting minutes August 26, 2013 Bev Harves Room, Zionsville Town Hall Present: President Steve Mundy, Vice President Jeff Papa, Commissioner Susana Suarez, Commissioner Matt Carney, Commissioner Suzy Nagy, Chief of Police Robert Knox Call to Order: President Mundy Approval of the June 24, 2013 minutes (no meeting held in July, 2013) Motion made to approve June 24, 2013 minutes: Commissioner Nagy, Seconded by Commissioner Papa, passed by unanimous vote. Old Business: none New Business: 1. Sergeant Promotion: Chief Knox presented the commissioners with promotion test results from IPSP with recommendation that the next person up with the highest score be promoted to the rank of Sergeant which is Officer Adrian Martin. Motion made to promote Officer Adrian Martin to the rank of Sergeant by Commissioner Carney, Seconded by Commissioner Suarez, passed by unanimous vote. President Mundy asked Chief Knox to pass on congratulations to Sergeant Martin. 2. Update on Application Process: Chief Knox informed the Commissioners with the names of two applicants for a Conditional Offer of Employment to the position of Patrolman 1. The Conditional Offer of Employment is based on the “Condition” of the Zionsville Town Council signing an agreement with the Zionsville Community Schools for police officers to be assigned in the Zionsville School buildings. Motion made to offer the Conditional Offer of Employment by Commissioner Suarez, seconded by Commissioner Papa, passed by unanimous vote. Adjourn meeting: Motion made by Commissioner Suarez and seconded by Commissioner Papa, meeting adjourned by unanimous vote. Next regularly scheduled meeting: September 30, 2013 in the Bev Harves Room, Zionsville Town Hall.
