November 11, 2021 Pathways Committee Meeting Minutes Members Present: Quincy Cunningham, Justin Hage, Emily Makinson 1. Justin outlined potential priorities for 2022: a. Final guest speakers, Dr. Robison and Chief Spears b. Sept. 21 Bike friendly application due c. Potential for event on the trails allowing for serving alcoholic beverages along Creekside Trail which is owned by Community Development Corporation d. Overly Worman opening event e. Partner with Parks Department 2. Discussed the need to focus on 2-3 events in order to actually achieve something. It was agreed that we could only feasibly manage completion of the Bike friendly app along with 3 events total: 2 events run by parks department with committee members acting as volunteers and 1 event that the Pathways committee actually runs. 3. In order to have one point person, Justin will lead the Overly Worman path event and Emily will lead the application update. 4. Other ideas/discussions: Trail Counting Device Are there Pathways Committees in other towns. What are best practices? Assist with update of 2016 Strategic Pathways Plan 5. Action Items: • Emily to ask Amy about shared google drive • Justin will reach out to Sarah and get all old application materials to Emily • Further discussion with Mindy about O/W event Submitted November 12, 2021 Emily Makinson, Pathways Committee Secretary
