Zionsville Pathways Committee Meeting

July 12, 2022 Pathways Committee Meeting Minutes Members Present: Justin Hage, Emily Makinson, Sarah Moore, Quincy Cunningham, Craig Melton Guest Present: Kim Storen, Zionsville Resident Meeting began at 6:35 p.m. 1. Discussed Bike Friendly app username/password. Members will each need to confirm access to shared Google docs. 2. It was agreed we would meet Wednesday, July 20 at 6:30 p.m. to begin looking at the application and assigning parts to complete. Application will close Sept. 29, 2022. Members will each review application before this meeting. 3. Justin emailed Amy Lacy for meeting room confirmation and to post public notice for July 20 meeting. 4. Guest, Kim Storen asked about status of pathway connecting Elm Street Green to Lions park. Her property runs between both and she wanted to know when a pathway would be installed on her portion of that stretch of proposed pathway. There is already a well-worn unofficial path here. Sarah emailed John Stehr to check on this and will find out more during Parks board meeting. Craig will follow up as well. 5. Justin raised possibility of having a people counter somewhere on the Rail Trail similar to the one in Carmel on the Monon. Sarah will bring it up again to Parks Board and Justin will look into cost of acquiring the equipment for this. 6. Action Items/Miscellaneous: • Craig is now in possession of the physical thumb drive.
