Zionsville Pathways Committee Meeting

October 25,2022 Pathways Committee Meeting Minutes Members Present: Quincy Cunningham, Justin, Hage, Craig Melton, Emily Makinson Guest Present: Evan Williams, Former Pathways Member until 2017 Meeting began at 7:10pm 1. Mr. Williams presented the committee with maps and document from previous committee member efforts to promote pathway development. Craig Melton now has those documents and will file with the town. 2. Discussed three pathways Mr. Williams would like to see brought forward to the town: a. Rail Trail connection from E400S to Whitestown. There is a break in the trail due to a residential driveway. When will the work around be complete? Craig has reached out to town officials for answer. b. Would like to see a path from Rail Trail to Zionsville Rd along the creek. This was explored in the past, but possibly considered impractical due to flooding which could create maintenance issues. c. Midland Trail extension from Westfield/Noblesville through Zionsville. Would like to see this promoted before it’s too late and future development prevents a logical trail. 3. Committee went through the Bike Friendly Application from beginning to section B13. Worksheet on B13 will need to be completed by Lance Lantz. Justin to forward to Lance. Application is due February 15, 2023. 4. Craig gave a quick ARPA meeting recap 5. Justin discussed need to look at Pathways Committee framework and directives and consider how this committee could be more effective in the future. 6.
