Zionsville Pathways Committee Meeting

7/11/2023 Pathways Committee Meeting Minutes Meeting called to order 6:30 pm Members present: Kris Barksdale, Justin Hage, Emily Makinson, Mark McDonald, Craig Melton Community Member present: Brad Gressel Notes: 1. Mark McDonald created a program to start visually tracking potential and eventually existing pathways. Temporarily storing this at www.royalrun.org/pathways 2. Justin Hage updated the group on Trailfest. Parks department is forming a committee to organize a 2024 fun run – looking for two people from the Pathways committee to sit on that committee. Justin, Mark, and Emily volunteered. 3. Reviewed and updated the pathways priority list and updated Mark’s interactive pathways map to be analogous to the list. Also added some detail including linear distances. 4. After discussion, developed consensus on TOP 3 pathway priorities: -Cobblestone Whitestown Rd entrance to roundabout at 875 -Michigan Rd. Appaloosa to Willow Rd. -Boone Meadow to Harvest Park 5. Discussed presenting these priorities at the next Town Council meeting on August 7th along with a request for a budget line item in the town’s next budget for a pathway study.
