ZIONSVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING MEMORANDA FOR Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 7:30am Zionsville Town Hall-Community Room 1100 West Oak Street Members Present: Brad Johnson, President, Mark Plassman, Secretary, Wade Achenbach, Treasurer, and Kent Esra. Also Present: Wayne DeLong, AICP, Director of Planning & Economic Development. A. Opening a. Call meeting to order - Brad Johnson called the meeting to order at 7:30am. B. Old Business (none) C. New Business a. Bennett Parkway Extension (Design Contract). Brad Johnson introduced the item and Wayne DeLong summarized the history of the project and development of the BLN Design Contract. It was recognized that the Commission is primarily focused on establishing that the Design Contract is a competitive contract and therefore efforts would be taken to review the contract and discuss the same with BLN with the idea of executing the contract in the first quarter of 2017. Based on the discussion, it was indicated that efforts should be taken by Staff to review the proposed tasks and fees and prepare the same for discussion at a future Commission meeting. D. Other Business 1. Recognition of Mark Plassman’s service to the Commission. The Commission presented a banner to Mark Plassman in recognition of his eight (8) years of service to the Town as a member of the Commission and to thank him for his contributions (as he was not seeking reappointment to the Commission in 2017).
