ZIONSVILLE SAFETY BOARD MEETING MEMORANDA For May 3rd, 2013 Zionsville Town Hall 1100 W. Oak Street 1. OPENING A. Call meeting to order –Steve Mundy called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. Board members present: Steve Mundy, Jeff Papa & Susana Suarez Members absent: None 2. MEETING ITEMS A. New Business: a. Consideration of Fire Department Conditional Offer of Employment: Chief VanGorder stated that earlier last week ZFD was notified in writing by Travis Butcher that he has accepted full-time employment with the City of Indianapolis and his last day of work will be May 11th. There is a vacancy within the Zionsville Fire Department as a result of this resignation. Chief VanGorder asked the board to consider extending a conditional offer of employment to Melvin Fairfield and further authorize the fire chief to move down the list in order to Stephen Rodkey, Dennis Eckert or Evan Maher as alternates should Mr. Fairfield not pass, accept or complete the requirements for the conditional offer of employment. Ms. Suarez motioned to grant a conditional offer of employment to Melvin Fairfield and if needed the three additional persons listed should Mr. Fairfield not accept the offer.
