Discussion on action items following tree board training with Carrie Tauscher, State Urban Forestry Coordinator, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry – dates for March a. Urban Tree Canopy (UTC) Assessment – overlay by census block or council district, show which areas are good or bad, 40% canopy cover is recommended, can apply for a grant for high resolution imaging, work with high school ag program - Greta b. Tree designation for businesses or homes that meet a list of standards c. Move recommend lists out of town ordinance, don’t want them overplanted, have a list for reference, see Fishers list - Lance d.
