March 16, 2022 PZAZ Committee Meeting Minutes March 16, 2022 Onsite Meeting 1100 West Oak Street This meeting was conducted onsite. All members participated in person. Present: Greta Sanderson, Andrew Schnell, Michal Owens, Pauline Coderre, Roger Collins, Mindy Murdock, Amanda Vela, Amy Lacy Greta Sanderson called the meeting to order at 8:03 am I. Attendance II. Approved minutes from Jan. 19, 2022 and February 16, 2022 meetings III. Update on initiatives and committee responsibilities a. Events (tree-planting day, Zionsville Greenfest) – April 23: Michal 1. Andrew offered a table and tent to use. Mindy Murdock attended to discuss Greenfest promotion. 2. Pauline DNR seedling inventory 3. Amanda- Budget for seedlings from Promotional $100 b. Tree City designation: Lance IV. Old business a. Tree designation - Michal - 1. Tree of Z’Year Program/Heritage Tree Program Kickoff at Zionsville Greenfest. People can nominate trees and we will pick top three and have town vote. 2. Commemorative Tree Program/Memorial Tree  3. Mindy has talked with Hy-Vee and their tree donation program b. New board members – Greta - Andrew Schnell - Michal Owens - Dillon Wyatt - Pauline Coderre V. New business - none VI. Watch items a. Landscape in the Village b. Highlight Village history c. Expand decorative lighting poles, flags etc. onto the streets adjacent to Main Street d. Install works of sculpture around the Village, Lions Park and Elm Street Green. e. Toilets in the Village Business District f. Support the ongoing efforts to create a conservation district designation for the Historic Village. g. Tree inventory VII.
