Present: Greta Sanderson, Michal Owens, Tom Cassalini, Roger Collins, Andrew Schnell, Amy

I. Attendance taken 8:05 am
II. Approve minutes from July 20, 2022 meeting
III. Update on initiatives and committee responsibilities
A. Ordinances and preservation- Reviewed Matthias’ recommendations for Tree
Planting Plan and discussed process of how to get his changes approved through
Town Council
B. Events- Fall Festival Parade Sept 10th Michal
1. Get together quick facts for signs for parade
2. Discussed slogans to create stickers for parade- will email list of ideas to
vote on
IV. Old Business
A. Urban Tree Canopy (UTC) Assessment/IU Resiliency Report and Next Steps
1. Survey showed 22% tree coverage
2. Chose five priority areas to plant
B. Z’ Tree of the Year
1. Chose winner last meeting- Discussed how to print pictures and
submissions for the Town Hall
2. Will contact all contestants and get gift certificates to winners
3. We have been invited to present the award and canvas to the winners at the
next Town Council meeting (September 6th 7:00pm)
V. Adjourn meeting: 8:55am- next meeting is Sept 21. Greta will be sending out options
for alternate meeting times.

c. Expand decorative lighting poles, flags etc. onto the streets adjacent to Main Street
d. Install works of sculpture around the Village, Lions Park and Elm Street Green.
