PZAZ Minutes 8:30 a.m. November 15, 2023 Zionsville Town Hall Tangoe Conference Room 202 1100 West Oak Street The meeting was conducted onsite. All members participated in person. Present: Greta Sanderson, Michal Owens, Ellen Dennehy, Pam Diagostino, Pauline Coderre, Roger Collins, Dan Bradley I. Attendance taken 8:35 a.m. II. Approved minutes from June 21, 2023 meeting III. Update on initiatives and committee responsibilities a. Ordinances and preservation- Pauline i. Tree planting recommendation list is being updated and will be given to Brad Burk to bring before Town Council ii. Climate Action Plan Committee would like to help updating the list and making it available to residents via town website and HOAs and also to add to requirements for developers b. Tree of the Year- Michal i. Frames have been purchased and photos printed. They will be etched at Naptown Etching and should finished by the week after Thanksgiving c. Outreach- Ellen i. Ellen has made contacts and updated educational powerpoint. We discussed providing quick infographics for residents via HOA with resources and tips, including when best to plan trees ii. CAPC would also like to collaborate with our outreach program if possible to encourage sustainability IV. New member- Dan Bradley V. Community leaders to attend meetings i. Greta will reach out to Mike Dale, Zionsville’s Director of Community and Economic Development, and Jo Lock, specialist from Boone County Invasives Cooperative, to join us at future meetings to answer questions and help educate us on practices being used in our county to promote urban forestry VI.
