K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes July 6, 2021.
The K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library Board met on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 5:00 PM at the Public
Library. Present were Board Members Troy McQuillen, Peter Ramey, Cindy Senger, Lynn Klund,t Don
Briscoe and Library Director Shirley Arment. Vice President Troy McQuillen called the meeting to order.
OPEN FORUM
There were no speakers for the open forum portion of the meeting.
MINUTES
Cindy Senger moved that the minutes of the June 1, 2021 meeting be approved. Don Briscoe seconded
the motion. Motion carried.
LIBRARIAN’S REPORT
The librarian’s report, as presented, was discussed.
FINANCIAL MATTERS
The current list of bills and financial statements were discussed. Peter Ramey moved to approve that the
June 2021 bills be paid and that the financial reports be received and placed on file. Lynn Klundt
seconded. Shirley Arment reported on her meeting with the City Manager and City Finance Office
officials regarding the 2022 budget.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Shirley Arment updated the Board on the progress of the local Quester’s group donation of a Mary Groth
painting to the library. She also reported that the bronze memorial in honor of Karl Lee has been mounted
on a wall in the south entryway of the library.
NEW BUSINESS
Cindy Senger moved to submit the following slate of officers for election to Library Board Leadership for
2021-22:
President: Lynn Klundt
Vice-President: Troy McQuillen
Treasurer: Cindy Senger
Peter Ramey seconded. The motion carried with all voting Aye.
Lynn Klundt moved that Board members Troy McQuillen and Cindy Senger be added,as authorized
signers, to the K.O. Lee Library’s Aberdeen Federal Credit Union Account and that Past Board member
Paul McDonald be removed from the account. Don Briscoe seconded. Motion carried with all voting
Aye.
Lynn Klundt moved to approve the addition of Rose Johnson and Teresa Garofalo to the Library
Foundation Board. Peter Ramey seconded. Motion carried.
The next Library Board meeting will be Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 5:00 pm at the library

The next Library Board meeting will be Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 5:00 pm at the library.
Members of the public who would like to attend the meeting will be allowed into the
meeting, with social distancing measures in place.

Open forum provides an opportunity for the public to address the Library Board with
questions, concerns or comments on items, which are not on the agenda. Open forum will be
limited to 10 minutes. The open forum may not be used to make personal attacks, to air
personality grievances, to make political endorsements, or for political campaign purposes.
Open forum will not be used as a time for problem solving or reacting to the comments
made, but, rather for hearing the citizen for informational purposes. The Library Board may
respond with a request for Library Management to follow up report back on any issue raised
during the public address time. A presentation may not exceed two minutes in duration.
