K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes August 3, 2021. The K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library Board met on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 5:00 PM at the Public Library. Present in were Board Members Lynn Klundt, Peter Ramey, Troy McQuillen, and Don Briscoe. Also present were City Council Representative Rob Ronayne, Library Director Shirley Arment, and City Manager Joe Gaa. President Lynn Klundt called the meeting to order. OPEN FORUM Community member Robert Fay spoke in the open forum portion of the meeting. MINUTES Peter Ramey moved that the minutes of the July 6, 2021 meeting be approved. Don Briscoe seconded the motion. Motion carried. LIBRARIAN’S REPORT The librarian’s report, as presented, was discussed. Shirley Arment reported that staff members Isabella Seaton and Austen Farthing had resigned their positions at the library and that interviews were being held to fill their spots. FINANCIAL MATTERS The current list of bills and financial statements were discussed. Troy McQuillen moved to approve that the July 2021 bills be paid and that the financial reports be received and placed on file. Peter Ramey seconded. Motion carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Shirley Arment reported that a tentative date of September 16th had been chosen for a reception to reveal the Mary Groth library mural that is being donated to the Library by the Aberdeen Questers organization. More details about the event will be announced at the September 7th Board meeting. NEW BUSINESS The was no new business. The next Library Board meeting will be Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 5:00 PM at the Public Library. ____________________________ Its__________________________
