provision of neighborhood revitalization initiatives in order to carry out the intent

ORDINANCE NO. 445-2024 declaring improvements to certain parcels of real
property to be a public purpose, requiring the owners of the improvements
thereon to make service payments in lieu of taxes; establishing a municipal
public improvement tax increment equivalent fund for the deposit of such service
payments, and related authorizations pursuant to Sections 5709.40, 5709.42 and
5709.43 of the Ohio Revised Code; and declaring an emergency. Vote: 13-0.

ORDINANCE NO. 446-2024 declaring certain improvements to real property
located in the Eastgate Urban Renewal Area and the Eastgate II Urban Renewal
Area to be a public purpose and exempt from real property taxation; providing
for the collection of service payments in lieu of taxes and the deposit of those
service payments in the appropriate fund; providing for the payment of a portion
of the service payments to the Akron Public School District, all pursuant to Ohio
Revised Code Sections 5709.41 to 5709.43 (the “Act”); and declaring an

ORDINANCE NO. 447-2024 authorizing the Director of Public Service, or his

ORDINANCE NO. 454-2024 authorizing the Mayor, or his designee, to enter
into an agreement or agreements with Downtown Akron Development
Corporation to provide $50,000.00 per year for three years commencing in 2025
to support downtown economic and urban redevelopment initiatives; and

ORDINANCE NO. 455-2024 authorizing the Director of Economic
Development, or their designee, to enter into a contract with Akron Community
Service Center and the Urban League, for the provision of operating the Minority
