40 Mayor Report
41 Monthly Mayor meeting was held last week. Local District Attorney was present at the
42 meeting. Discussion of Drug Task Force and homeless issues was held during the
43 meeting. County wide problem for homeless residents.

4 Parks & Property
5 Borough Manager Davidson mentioned that over 300 golf discs removed from the Roland Park
6 pond. Paul Swangren, Jr. remarked that all the amenities were being used in Roland Park this
7 past Sunday. Sean Molchany mentioned that a building permit for the Colonial Park Pavilion has
8 been submitted and is in the review process.

10 Community Relations- Daryl Witmer and Akron resident is planning to show movies in Broad
11 Street Park. When more information is available Bonnie Young will write an article.

13 Personnel Report
14 Paul Swangren, Jr. mentioned that a Personnel Meeting was held and discussion was about the
15 new administrative assistant and her progress. Other items discussed was Public Works staff
16 and their progress. Personnel Committee and staff are still gathering information in regard to
17 finding an Emergency Management Coordinator.

19 Streets Report
20 Sean Molchany mentioned that the Street Project for Edgehill/Manor Ridge Drives was
21 completed Friday, May 19, 2023. Penn Dot will inspect within the next few weeks.

23 Public Utilities Report
24 Sean Molchany mentioned the Sanitary Sewer Project is still ongoing. Nathan Imhoff suggested
25 that a communication about the completion of the project be put on the Akron Borough
26 Facebook page for the affected residents. The Borough engineer is overseeing project with
27 current report updates to staff.

40 Nathan Imhoff mentioned that Gregg Zimmerman from Ephrata Council shared some
41 information from Ephrata Seniors during the Hibschman Scholarship meeting. More support for
42 the library, more amenities at Roland Park, more communication of events, improve
43 playgrounds at the Akron parks, fund to help the feral cat problems.

2 Cocalico VFW letter Annual Day of Service letter
3 Trash pickup by Cocalico VFW volunteers along the Akron Rail Trail took place a few weeks ago
4 and the VFW thanked Akron Public Works Department for doing a good job keeping Rail Trail
5 clean
