SPENCER DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT CONTACT: Erin Glennon Historic Resources Commission hrc@albanyny.gov Historic Resources Commission Public Hearing Date: Wednesday, April 7, 2021 Location: Teleconference and Videoconference via Zoom (Instructions Listed Below) Time: 6:00 PM Present: Members: Geraghty, Hacker, Kaplan, McEneny, Myers Planning Staff: Glennon DISPOSITION OF CASES PROJECT # 00406 Application(s) COA # 0790 Property Address 123 South Pearl Street Owner Seraj Properties, LLC Historic District Mansion After discussing the proposal to replace the existing recessed storefront with a new aluminum and glass storefront systems, flush with the front wall, the Commission made the following recommendations and requested additional information-  Provide scaled dimensioned drawings showing the width, depth and height of the following- o Doors; o Transom; o Panels; and o Glazing.  Provide information and dimensions for the proposed framing;  Provide elevation drawings showing the existing storefront and the proposed storefront;  If possible super impose the scaled line drawing in the existing photo to see the proposed appearance; and  Use the existing wood panels at the entry as a reference for the proposed aluminum panels. PROJECT # 00405 Application(s) COA # 0781 Property Address 452 Clinton Avenue Owner Salvation Army Historic District Clinton Avenue/North Pearl Street/Clinton Square After discussing the Historic Property Hardship Modification based on the March 17, 2021 Certificate of Appropriateness denial, the Commission voted to support the Modification and issue the Certificate of Appropriateness with the following condition-  A darker EIFS panel must be used in order to be compatible with the proposed windows and must be submitted to Planning Staff for review.
