If a smooth finish is not available the proposed panel can be installed;  Any new signage or lighting should be submitted to Planning Staff for review and circulated to the Historic Resources Commission; and  The Commission would encourage the business owner to remove the existing awning be removed in order to expose the historic pressed tin sign band.
