After discussing the request to install an exterior solid metal roll-up security gate over the existing storefront, the Commission voted to approve
the request with the following conditions-
The roll up mechanism must be installed on the underside of the storefront cornice;
The color should be amended to be compatible with the existing building color; and
The applicant must provide Planning staff with dimensioned, scaled drawings that show the roll up mechanism in relation to the
storefront cornice.

After discussing the request to construct four, two-story row houses on four vacant lots, the Commission voted to approve the request with the
following conditions-
The applicant must notify the City if any of the following three features are discovered during the construction-
o Evidence of human remains;
o Evidence of foundations, roofs, wells, or infrastructure built with construction materials or techniques not commonly used
during the last 50 years; and
o Evidence of railroad structures, canals, dams or locks.
The structures should be moved up to the front property line to meet the zero lot line setback and be compatible with the
neighboring structure as well as the prevailing setback on both sides of Broad Street; and
Any changes to the approved building designs or materials must be submitted to Planning Staff for review and go back to the HRC if
deemed to be a significant change.
ACTION: Approve with Conditions

hrc@albanyny.gov at least 24 hours in advance to guarantee the opportunity to speak.

The Project/s the Speaker Requests to Provide Public Comments On, and
The Municipality where the Speaker Lives, to comply with §34-1b of the Albany City
Code.
Requests received less than 24 hours in advance may be accommodated by the Historic
Resources Commission.
