SHEEHAN NE W YOR K DIRECTOR: BRADLEY GLASS DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT CONTACT: Erin Glennon Historic Resources Commission hrc@albanyny.gov Historic Resources Commission Public Hearing Date: Thursday, February 8, 2024 Location: 200 Henry Johnson Blvd, 2nd Floor Conference Room and Teleconference and Videoconference Time: 6:00 PM Present: Members: Geraghty, Hacker, Kaplan (Zoom), Myers, Pinckney, Tobin Planning Staff: Glennon DISPOSITION OF CASES PROJECT # 00573 Application(s) COA 1134 Property Address 1 Steuben Street Owner Redburn Development Historic District Downtown Albany After discussing the request to install a fabric covered awning and a vestibule wall system, the Commission voted to defer the proposal and requested the following-  The applicant must provide drawings or renderings of the proposed awning and vestibule wall system from North Pearl Street;  The applicant must provide the manufacturer specifications for the vestibule wall system;  The applicant must confirm where there proposed awning structure and support poles will be located in relation to the existing masonry patio wall;  The applicant should consider reducing the overall footprint or depth of the proposed awning; and  The applicant should look at non-permanent alternatives to the awning such as patio umbrellas.
