4/18/2023 Meeting Minutes Meeting of the Albany Municipal Civil Service Commission held on Tuesday, April 18th 2023 at 4:30pm in the Mayor’s Conference Room ATTENDEES: Thomas McNaughton, Commissioner and Chair Michael Cassidy, Commissioner Akosua Yeboah, Commissioner - Absent Tatiana Diaz, City of Albany- Human Resources Manager Philip Banaszek, City of Albany- Assistant Corporation Counsel Mark Decker, Albany Police Department- Lieutenant I. Call to order Meeting was called to order at 4:46 PM. II. Approval of March 29, 2023 meeting minutes Commissioner Cassidy made a motion to approve the March 29 th, 2023 meeting minutes. III. Police Officer list #60-049 Non-Selection Appeals The Commission entered into executive session to discuss the Police Officer appeals at 4:47 pm.  Failed Physical Agility Test: Ramon Vasquez  Candidates to submit for Disqualification after Background Investigation and Interview:  Civil Service Law 50(4)(f) who has intentionally made a false statement of any material fact in his application: INITIALS BS CM  City of Albany Local Civil Service Rule IX (1) Disqualification- Lacking Good Moral Character: INITIALS JH  Not Recommended for Hire after Psychological Testing & Evaluation – 5 candidates INITIALS NK The Commission ended executive session at 5:02pm. Commissioner McNaughton made a motion to uphold the disqualifications for Enriquez Vasquez and candidate NK. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Cassidy. Motion passed.  City of Albany Municipal Civil Service Commission March 29, 2023 Meeting Agenda The Commission entered executive session at 5:04 pm to discuss additional appeals. Executive session ended at 5:12. Commissioner McNaughton made a motion to uphold the disqualifications for candidates BS and JH. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Cassidy. Motion passed. IV.
