COMMON COUNCIL MEETING PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE Kelly Kimbrough, Chair Meeting called by: Kelly Kimbrough, Chair Date: 06-03-20 Time: 5:30PM Ivy Morris, Chair of Community’s Police Review Board (CPRB) Zach Garofalo, Member of CPRB Invitees/Speakers Ava Avery Committee Members Conti, Chair ☒ Igoe ☒ Kimbrough ☒ Hoey ☒ Frederick ☒ Present: Council Members Present: Conti, Balarin, and Farrell City Personnel Present: Michele Andre, John-Raphael Pichardo and Danielle Gillespie Minutes Agenda Item: INTERVIEW CANDIDATES FOR THE COMMUNITY’ POLICE REVIEW BOARD (CPRB) AND THE POTENTIAL RECOMMENDATION OF THE APPOINTEE TO THE FULL COMMON COUNCIL Points of Discussion:  Ivy Morris and Zach Garofalo provided an overview of CPRB and update  Council Member Kimbrough, Igoe, Hoey, and Frederick which Ms. Morris and Mr. Garofalo.  Committee, Ivy Morris and Zach Garofalo interviewed Nairobi Vives.  After interviews and a discussion about the candidates, Council Member Hoey made a motion to appoint Nairobi Vives as the newest members of Community’s Police Review Board for a term ending October 26, 2020, with a favorable recommendation, which was seconded by Council Member Balarin, The motion passed unanimously. Public Comment: There was no public comment. Adjourn: The Chairperson asked for a motion to adjourn, which was duly made, seconded, and passed. This meeting was held following Governor Cuomo’s executive order 202.1 and Mayor Sheehan’s emergency order 315-1b.
